Lumire, Luleå Miljöresurs AB (https://www.lumire.se/), is a municipal company for water and sewage, waste management, recycling, and reuse. Lumire is owned by Luleå Municipality and we are 240 employees who ensure that all residents of Luleå have fresh and tasty drinking water from the tap and that waste and sewage are handled in a circular manner.
By coordinating water and waste issues within the same company, we are a strong player in sustainable environmental technology and community building.
Lumire is in an exciting phase of development and is a key player in the work towards a green transition and a sustainable Luleå.
As a Water and Sewage Engineer, you play an important role in the work we do at Lumire for the entire Luleå community. Together we make Luleå sustainable.
Luleå is facing extensive community development with large expansion plans, which presents many interesting challenges within the water and sewage area. This work includes renewing and strengthening the existing water and sewage system as well as investigating and creating the conditions for the expansion required for both industrial activities and residential development.
About the role
As a Water and Sewage Engineer, you will work on water-related projects from early stages to completed facilities. In the early stages, this means investigating, evaluating, and proposing suitable methods and solutions as the project manager. When the project then transitions into a design and execution/construction phase, you will participate as the technical lead and support for the project manager.
Based on your interests and background, your tasks may include:
Water, wastewater, and stormwater investigations with associated calculations and cost estimates
Project and technical responsibility for various types of water and sewage projects
Design and dimensioning of pumping stations
Renewal planning
Wastewater modeling
You will work within Lumire's Development Section, which consists of an investigation group and a group responsible for connection issues.
At Lumire, we have a clear focus on innovation and technology development. We participate in a number of research projects and have a close collaboration with Luleå University of Technology. We are part of the research cluster Dag & Nät, the competence center Drizzle, and the strategic innovation program Water Wise Societies.

You have a technical college or university education applicable to our operations, or other education/experience deemed equivalent. Experience in land planning in multidisciplinary projects or designing pipeline and pumping systems as an investigator or designer may be a suitable background.
Knowledge in the water and sewage area is an advantage, preferably with previous experience in municipal water operations or project-based work as a consultant, client, or contractor.
You have good communication skills, and the work includes delivering written reports and other documentation. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
Good computer skills are required, and experience with AutoCAD and modeling programs is an advantage.
A valid driver's license (B) is required as you need to be able to transport yourself by car for work purposes.
