Are you a person who thrives with tools in hand? Perhaps you are a trained mechanic or tinker with cars, machines, or other technical gadgets in your spare time? Regardless: if you enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and keeping things running, then this is the role for you!
NYAB is now looking for a mechanically inclined worker for the peak season of 2026. The role is perfect for you who enjoy variety, like being out on different projects, and want to work closely with large construction machinery.
About the position
NYAB is a growing company in the field of earthworks and construction with long experience and strong confidence in the future. They now need to expand the team for the peak season with a skilled worker with mechanical competence.
In this role, you will be the one who supports where needed – often focusing on machines, equipment, and practical solutions. You will travel between projects, assist teams on-site, and ensure that everyday operations run smoothly. It is a humble role with great personal responsibility, where your practical skills truly make a difference.
You will receive a proper introduction and work closely with colleagues in a friendly and supportive work environment. The position is full-time during the period of May–November 2026. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at NYAB. According to NYAB's wishes, all inquiries regarding the position should be directed to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])
Job responsibilities
The workdays are varied and practical, with a strong focus on machines and equipment. Examples of tasks include:
- Basic mechanical work, service, and maintenance of construction machinery
- Repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting on-site
- Practical support regarding machines, tools, and technical equipment
- Assembly, disassembly, and preparation of materials and machines
- Transport between projects and workplaces
- Basic carpentry and construction tasks as needed (e.g., cabins, fences, temporary solutions)
Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday. A company car is available if needed.
We are looking for someone who
We believe you are a person who enjoys tinkering and fixing things. You might:
- Be a trained mechanic – or have learned on your own by tinkering at home
- Tinker with cars, machines, engines, or other technical equipment in your spare time
- Have a strong technical interest and enjoy practical problem-solving
In addition, we see that you:
- Are handy, solution-oriented, and flexible
- Have a valid driver's license (B)
- Master Swedish in both spoken and written form
Previous experience in construction, building, workshop, industry, or machinery service is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you enjoy working practically, take responsibility, and are not afraid to pitch in where needed.
