About the Business

The mission of Kiruna Malmförädling is to refine the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are sorting, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process, while the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and maintenance.

Your Role

You will work with maintenance development and problem-solving in Sorting. The work includes both corrective methods and preventive/strategic maintenance. Central to this role is the continuous improvement, development, and optimization of the section's areas and facilities to reduce the duration of disruptions and the number of disruptions caused by mechanical problems.

Your main tasks will include:

• Leading and planning the strategic development of mechanical maintenance.
• Creating networks with external and internal competencies.
• Planning shutdowns and maintenance stops.
• Participating in and planning budgets while monitoring long-term investment needs and preparing future investments.
• Leading and participating in improvement groups.
• Continuously detecting, analyzing data, and solving issues within mechanical maintenance.
• Providing technical support for maintenance groups in other sections.
• Collaborating with maintenance groups in other sections.
• Responsible for developing maintenance plans for mechanical maintenance.
• Prioritizing and coordinating maintenance activities on an overarching level.
• The work involves significant collaboration within the maintenance group, Uh-Ing, Pc-Mek, UH leaders, and Preparation.

We expect you to have:

• A completed high school education or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for all positions at LKAB.

Meritorious

• A degree in engineering or a higher education degree, preferably in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
