Lumire, Luleå Miljöresurs AB (https://www.lumire.se/), is a municipal company for water and sewage, waste management, recycling, and reuse. Lumire is owned by Luleå Municipality and we are 240 employees ensuring that all residents of Luleå have fresh and tasty drinking water from the tap and that waste and sewage are handled in a circular manner.

As a Water and Sewage Engineer, you play an important role in the work we do at Lumire for the entire Luleå community. Together, we make Luleå sustainable.

To meet the need for measures at our existing water and sewage treatment plants and to comply with future treatment requirements, Lumire is looking for a new employee.

About the role
In the role of Water and Sewage Engineer focusing on water and sewage treatment plants, you will be a key person for the development of our facilities and treatment technologies. You will belong to the Development Unit within the company's Water and Sewage Department.

You will work on investigations to ensure the proper function of our water and sewage treatment plants now and in the future. The assignment involves investigating, evaluating, and proposing suitable methods and process solutions. When the project then transitions into a design and execution/construction phase, you will participate as the technical responsible and support to the project manager.

The task requires a sense of quality and operational reliability combined with the ability to think resource- and cost-effective, that is, to find optimal and safe solutions at the right level for the right cost. In your assessment, you are responsive to the operational perspective and will work closely with operational staff and process engineers.

Your personality has a strong drive which means you take your own initiatives to achieve results. You have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively. You take great responsibility in the assignments you lead or participate in, and set and maintain deadlines.

Qualifications:

        You have a technical college or university degree applicable to our operations, or other education/experience deemed equivalent.

        You have good communication skills and the work includes delivering written reports and other documentation. You should also be comfortable presenting your results to decision-makers within Lumire, politicians, and the operational organization. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

        A driving license (B) is required as you need to be able to transport yourself by car in the job.

Meritorious:

        We would like you to have previously worked in a municipality or a municipal company with similar tasks or as a consultant/project manager with experience in investigation/design of water and sewage treatment plants.

        Experience in dimensioning water and sewage processes

        Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar

Information
The position is a permanent employment with placement in Luleå and start according to agreement. A probationary period may apply.
