WORKING AT GRAND HÔTEL
Grand Hôtel is a classic landmark in the heart of Stockholm. As one of Scandinavia's leading five-star deluxe hotels, Grand Hôtel combines a rich history with continuous development and refinement.
Grand Hôtel is a place where the staff makes a difference, and together we create, with passion and pride, memorable experiences for our guests. Grand Hôtel is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FAM AB and the only hotel in Sweden that is a member of Leading Hotels of the World.
We are now looking for a passionate and experienced pastry chef who will be crucial in our journey to put Grand Hôtel's pastry shop on the map and make it iconic.
THE PASTRY SHOP
Our pastry shop consists of a strong team of ten people who work daily to create both classic and innovative desserts, confections, cakes, and pastries. The pastry shop collaborates closely with other kitchens and the events department. The primary tasks involve creating desserts for events of all sizes, themed buffets, as well as À la carte desserts for our restaurants, our popular Afternoon Tea in Cadierbaren, and for cake orders for events both inside and outside the hotel.
Being part of our pastry team is more than just a job – it is an inspiring journey where you can combine precision and creativity in an environment that shapes you both as a professional and an individual.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our pastry shop consists of a dynamic team that, with their commitment and forward-thinking, is determined to make Swedish pastries shine around the world.
To thrive in this position, you should be an experienced pastry chef with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate smoothly with other departments. Additionally, you need to be structured with good planning skills as the pastry shop produces large volumes of high quality where all desserts are expected to be perfectly timed for each event.
We are looking for a pastry chef who not only has a passion for creating fantastic desserts but also possesses the skills and experience required to perform at a high level. Being part of our pastry shop means being an important piece of the puzzle in a team that strives every day to create memorable experiences for our guests.
The working hours are mainly scheduled during daytime and mornings every day of the week.
As a pastry chef at Grand Hôtel, you are covered by the collective agreement with HRF.
