The Upper GI and Endocrine section in Lund consists of three teams: Endocrine and Sarcoma Surgery (ES), Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), and Esophagus-Stomach. The section belongs to the surgical and gastroenterology area at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) and offers healthcare from a highly specialized regional as well as national perspective alongside basic and emergency care. The surgical and gastroenterology area has about 750 employees in Lund, Malmö, and Landskrona. Basic education for most professions is conducted in collaboration with Lund University and Malmö University, which is why supervision and teaching are important parts of our operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a specialist physician for our section in Lund, placed in the team responsible for the surgical treatment of diseases in the esophagus-stomach. You will primarily work within the team, but the position also includes on-call duties, service in the emergency team, and teaching medical students and training physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the specialist physician position, a Swedish medical license is required as well as:

• Specialist competence in surgery.
• Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale.
• You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

We want you to have good collaboration skills and motivation to develop with the organization. You are used to working independently and making your own decisions. You have a strong interest in education and a desire to be involved in the workplace's development and change work.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as a co- or main supervisor of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
