Are you passionate about cooking food that makes a difference? Ågesta Folk High School is now seeking a dedicated and skilled chef who wants to take responsibility for our restaurant during the month of July. During the summer, Campus Ågesta is filled with guests of all ages enjoying our fantastic environment with swimming, sports, play, and learning. About the role

As a summer chef at Ågesta Folk High School, you will be responsible for the restaurant's daily operations in close consultation with our service manager. Your goal is to deliver nutritious and delicious food in a welcoming environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning & Purchasing: Responsible for the menu, purchasing of ingredients, and inventory management.
• Cooking: Preparing lunch and dinner.
• Leadership: Coordinating daily work with kitchen assistants and summer staff.
• Quality & Hygiene: Self-monitoring and food safety procedures via digital documentation.
• Cleanliness: Together with the kitchen assistant, you are responsible for cleaning kitchen areas and washing work clothes.
• Flexibility: Assisting with other tasks at the school as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a confident cook with a good heart. You feel comfortable working according to the school's Christian values and view positively that the Salvation Army is our main organization. As part of our drug-free environment, you contribute to a safe and welcoming atmosphere. We place great importance on personal suitability.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Relevant education and experience in the restaurant industry.
• Training in self-monitoring and food hygiene.
• Good experience with special diets and baking.
• A pronounced sense of service and high social competence.
• The ability to work economically and stay within the purchasing budget.

OTHER

Ågesta Folk High School is a well-managed school with high satisfaction and low staff turnover. We have about 190 students, our own restaurant, and a dormitory with 38 rooms. We are beautifully located by Lake Magelungen in Farsta, with nature and ski trails right around the corner.
