We are now looking for two dental nurses for the Department of Orofacial Pain in Gothenburg.

Main tasks and responsibilities

At the Specialist Clinic for Orofacial Pain in Gothenburg, you will meet patients with various care needs and of all ages.

You will therefore utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

The Specialist Clinic for Orofacial Pain investigates and treats patients with pain and dysfunction from the jaw system. We utilize remote consultations and video meetings in our interactions with referrers and patients.

The educational clinics and Specialist Dental Care in Gothenburg, located at Odontologen, constitute Folktandvården's university dental care. This means that the clinic actively participates in the basic education of dentists and dental hygienists, contributes to dental research, and is part of developing dental care across the region.

You will be offered professional development (an extended course in the field of Orofacial Pain) as well as the opportunity to participate in care development.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Diverse tasks assisting with patient care
  • Your own patient work, e.g., dispensing hard and soft bite splints
  • Laboratory work, e.g., production of soft bite splints, study models
  • Scanning
  • Acupuncture
  • Movement training
  • Biofeedback
  • Administrative tasks

Competence requirements and profile

  • Qualified dental nurse with education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to independently manage administration
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
  • Ability to maintain a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
  • Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
  • Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. This program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for interviews at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 8 and 9.

Folktandvården Västra Götaland conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
