Job Description

As a technician in the maintenance team, you have the opportunity to make a difference in people's daily lives and facilitate life for individuals with disabilities. The work takes place both in the field and in the Assistive Technology Center's own workshop facilities. You will work closely with customers, patients, and colleagues in various ways. With your technical skills and problem-solving ability, you will perform tasks such as:

• function checks and maintenance of assistive devices
• installations, adjustments, and repairs
• inspections of assistive devices
• documentation and administration
• technical advice during assembly

Qualifications

To provide good service in the role of maintenance technician, you need to:

• have a good demeanor and be service-oriented
• work well with others
• enjoy adapting to changing circumstances
• be responsible and meticulous to ensure quality and high safety

You have a completed high school education and work experience that has provided you with technical knowledge in relevant areas for the position. You enjoy meeting new people and have the ability to be empathetic and flexible. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good computer skills and experience working with various IT systems. Since the position involves standing and walking for large parts of the workday, it is important that you have good physical ability and an ergonomic working method. Furthermore, you have a B driver's license and good driving experience.

If you have previous experience working with and supporting individuals in need of assistive devices, it is an advantage for the position. Knowledge in the business area Sesam is also an advantage, as well as some experience in low-voltage work 12-24V, as the assembly of drive units may occur.

About the Assistive Technology Center

The Assistive Technology Center is part of the Supply Management Administration within the Västra Götaland Region and serves as a competence and logistics center for the region and its 49 municipalities. Our service offerings are based on the needs of healthcare providers for both in-depth knowledge in the field of assistive technology and various service functions to support the healthcare chain.

We offer you a developing workplace where you will receive introduction, training, and good employment conditions. The team, consisting of 23 maintenance technicians, is characterized by a good collaborative climate with a non-prestigious and helpful approach.

Other

On-call duty is included in the position. A criminal record extract will be requested. Questions about the position are handled by Linus Welander, unit manager for the maintenance team.
