Job Responsibilities

As a tourist information officer, you welcome tourists and help them make the most of their visit – with tips on attractions, excursions, events, dining options, and experiences throughout our municipality. You answer questions, distribute maps and inspiration, and become a part of the local hospitality. You will meet tourists primarily on-site but also on social media and via phone. Simply put, wherever they are!

You will also inspire and support attractions and accommodations, InfoPoints, museums, etc. in their hospitality efforts. To succeed in this role, you are curious, keep an eye on the world around you, and ensure you are aware of what is happening in the destination.

Workplace

The work is based at Destination Jönköping's office in Jönköping, but your workplace will be in our summer tourist information centers in Gränna and Jönköping, as well as other locations where many visitors gather, such as Gränna harbor and Visingsö.

You will have the opportunity to experience many exciting meetings, build a good network, and challenge your skills and creativity.

  • Is service-oriented, outgoing, and responsible
  • Loves meeting people and providing great hospitality
  • Has good local knowledge
  • Can express themselves well both verbally and in writing in Swedish, English, and preferably another language

We offer

  • A fun and varied summer job
  • Meetings with visitors from near and far
  • Work in an inspiring environment
  • Introduction and support before the summer

Employment Period

The employment is primarily from June 10 to August 16. The extent may vary.

If you wish, there may be opportunities for more shifts in August and during events throughout the year.

Recruitment is ongoing with the last application date on February 22.
