Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal health and medical care, you will lead the nursing work in health care in ordinary housing. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. You will also cooperate with primary care, inpatient care, and other actors based on a holistic view of the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes being able to make your own assessments, sampling, wound care, medication management, injections, diabetes care, palliative care, and other common tasks. You are responsible for the prescription of assistive devices, e.g., anti-decubitus mattresses. The work also includes the prevention of diseases and complications such as falls, malnutrition, and mental health issues.

As a nurse, you will also mentor and educate/delegate staff in nursing and health care interventions.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• You are a licensed nurse
• Driver's license (B)
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious Qualifications

• Specialist training in elderly care
• District nurse training
• Further education in dementia care
• Previous experience in municipal health and medical care
• Other relevant further education for the position

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Scheduled working hours 38.25 hours/week, mostly daytime. Weekend and evening work occurs, currently every 5th weekend plus about 7 early and evening shifts within 10 weeks.
