Nurse for Forensic Psychiatric Care - develop in a varied and meaningful role! Do you want to work in an organization where care, development, and collaboration are at the center? At our forensic psychiatric clinic, we are now looking for licensed nurses who want to help shape the future of care in an organization that is in an exciting phase of development!

The Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter is responsible for highly specialized care at the county, regional, and national levels. We primarily care for patients committed to care under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act. Currently, we have 78 care places distributed across 7 departments. Working in forensic psychiatry is both developing and interesting. If you are interested but a bit unsure about what the job entails, there is an opportunity to shadow at the clinic.

We have recently started our own nursing unit aimed at strengthening collaboration, quality, and safety in nursing work. As a nurse in the unit, you will be part of a close-knit and cohesive group of colleagues where knowledge, experiences, and clinical assessments are shared. There is always an opportunity to discuss questions, reason about working methods, and support each other in daily work.

For those of you who are new to the profession or new to forensic psychiatry, this means that you will never be alone, but have natural support from colleagues and a clear structure for introduction and supervision. For those with more experience or specialist competence, there is an opportunity to contribute your knowledge, support colleagues, and help develop nursing work at the clinic.

Nurse, Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you have a central role in daily care work. The work is consultative, meaning that during your shift, you are responsible for several departments and can use your expertise where it is needed most, including leading and supervising nursing staff as well as being responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, and rounds. The care is varied, relationship-oriented, and person-centered, with a strong focus on good treatment, participation, and meeting each patient based on individual needs and conditions.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with the clinic's multidisciplinary treatment team, where different professional competencies work together towards common goals. Our mission is to promote health and recovery and create conditions for a sustainable life without relapse into crime.

Additional InformationQualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, have good collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a team where the patient is seen as an active participant in care. You have an interest in care and treatment interventions and want to contribute to care characterized by commitment, quality, and participation. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and the working hours can be adjusted according to individual preferences.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. Before employment, extracts from the criminal record and the Enforcement Authority will be requested, and you will undergo a drug test.

This position requires that you have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed health and medical care personnel (HOSP) before any job offer is made.
