Dala Vatten och Avfall is responsible for the operation, development, coordination, administration, and planning of water, sewage, and waste management activities in Gagnef, Leksand, Rättvik, and Vansbro. The main office is located in Leksand.

About Us

The water and sewage operations are responsible for a vital community service with the production and distribution of drinking water and the management of wastewater. With 300 miles of water and sewage pipes underground and an important role in ensuring safe and sustainable water management, we now need to strengthen our team with two dedicated piping network technicians who want to contribute to our development.

Job Responsibilities

As a construction worker/water technician, you will, together with your work team, be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and sewage pipeline network. The tasks are varied and include both emergency and preventive maintenance as well as some new installations and renewal of the pipeline network. Your tasks may include:

• Leak detection and repairs
• Replacement of water meters
• Flushing and cleaning of pipes
• Inspection and documentation of network status
• Participation in emergency work

The work is primarily outdoors, often in busy environments, which requires you to take responsibility for your own and your colleagues' safety and always use the appropriate protective equipment.

Education and Experience

We are looking for someone with a few years of professional experience or a vocational high school education in a relevant field, such as construction or similar. Experience in water and sewage (VA) or plumbing (VVS) is particularly meritorious. In addition, we expect you to have:

• Good computer skills to use our operational systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B (requirement)

About the Position

• Full-time, start date by agreement
• Work area: Mainly Leksand but work may also occur in Rättvik, Gagnef, and Vansbro municipalities
• Currently, the placement location is Leksand. On-call duty may be included in the position
