Your role:

As a core drilling worker with us at Boliden in Garpenberg, you contribute to increasing the understanding of the mineralizations in Garpenberg, where you are responsible for handling the core samples from the mine's and exploration's extensive investigation program. Your primary tasks include sample handling in the form of sawing and packaging of core samples, sample management, logistics of incoming and outgoing goods, inventory, and ongoing updates of the inventory system. As a core drilling worker, you also assist geologists with certain tasks related to core logging. In this role, you will work daily in several different computer systems, so we prefer that you have experience with systems and good communication skills. We are looking for someone who is positive, attentive, has a knack for collaborating with others, and is confident in taking responsibility. With these qualities, you contribute to a good work environment. You will become part of a well-knit team where we have fun together and support each other in our daily work.

The working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday above ground. A probationary period may apply.

Your team:

You will be part of the long-term planning section within the Mine Geology department in Garpenberg, where reporting is done to the chief geologist. The team consists of three other core drilling workers and six mining geologists.

Your tasks:

• Core sawing
• Sample handling
• Logistics of incoming and outgoing goods.
• Inventory of supplies
• Ongoing updates of the inventory system
• Disposal of core samples

Your contribution:

• High school education in a relevant field
• Swedish spoken and written
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• Forklift training and experience with B-forklift
• Experience from warehouse/inventory work
• Computer/system experience
• English spoken and written
