We at the Technical Department in Gagnef Municipality need to strengthen our organization with one more person who has service and customer focus.

Within the janitorial service, we work with daily maintenance, supervision, and reporting of faults both indoors and outdoors. We are 20 employees within the professions of carpenters, painters, boiler attendants, property managers, operations technicians, and janitors.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of craftsman, you will have a key position where your skills and problem-solving ability will truly shine. Your daily work will involve:

• Performing repairs and maintenance on municipal buildings and facilities, e.g., carpentry work, assembly of playground equipment.
• Identifying and solving technical problems, ranging from small repairs to larger projects, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues.
• Contributing to the planning and implementation of renovation and improvement projects.
• Ensuring that all tasks are performed with high quality and comply with applicable safety regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is handy, solution-oriented, and has at least 5 years of practical experience, either professionally or through other equivalent experience. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a good work ethic focused on completing jobs and seeing results. At the same time, you are flexible and can adapt to different situations that may arise.

We also value your ability to collaborate effectively with others; you are a team player who understands the importance of communication and respect in collaboration. Your service-oriented attitude means that you always put our residents first and strive to exceed their expectations. Additionally, you have a problem-solving analytical ability that allows you to identify and solve challenges in a creative and effective way.

You are accustomed to receiving and reporting completed work digitally. To succeed in the craftsman position, you also need to have a good command of the Swedish language and possess a B driver's license for a manual vehicle.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment, starting from 2026-03-01 or as agreed. A probationary period may apply.

Before employment, a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record must be presented.
