We are now looking for a Receptionist for the hotel Scandic Sundsvall City who can work during the summer period from June to August.

What does the role of Receptionist entail?

If you work in the Front of House/Reception area, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web who ensures that the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You ensure that the guest's wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution in your back pocket. You solve most issues and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby, as that is where you meet the most guests. The responsibilities also include administrative work, safety work, and sales work.

The work in Front of House/Reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Scorpio system and manage administrative tasks related to guests and safety. All work is done with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.

The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).

Who are you?

To fit in this role, we believe you have well-developed social skills and are capable of handling many different things happening simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

You also have experience and knowledge of working with a computer as a tool.

Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.

However, the most important are your personal qualities and your attitude. To fit in this role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
