One of our district nurses has been given the opportunity to study during working hours, which means we are looking for a replacement.

The position is a temporary contract until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Our Offer

The Primary Care Center in Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Finspång Health Center, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers during evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Training Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Ödeshög is located at the end of Vättern in a picturesque setting, and here you can feel the touch of history up close. We offer primary care with great breadth and flexible solutions in a well-functioning collaboration with the municipality's home care for our approximately 4,600 registered patients.

In rural areas, the health center plays a prominent role and handles a wide variety of medical issues, from acute patients to elderly care and child health care.

The health center is staffed with specialists in general medicine, doctors in training, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical administrators, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and foot care specialists. We now need to expand our team.

Job Description

As a nurse/district nurse with us, you are interested in primary care. You will have close collaboration with other professional groups at the health center. The health center's broad mission means that you will meet many people with different conditions and needs. The work includes telephone counseling and responsibility for the nurse's reception.

We would like to utilize your specific expertise. There are also good opportunities to develop within a specific area. We offer a stimulating and independent job with the opportunity to develop and improve care and treatment for our patients.

Extra compensation in the form of zone allowances is applied in addition to regular salary for nurses/district nurses at the health center.

About You

You should be a licensed nurse, preferably with further education as a district nurse. Experience in primary care is an advantage.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. If you are proficient in several languages relevant to the work at the health center, we view that positively.

As a person, you are self-assured, have good collaboration skills with others in the team, are efficient, and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and enjoy teamwork. You are unpretentious and communicate clearly.
