The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of the crime prevention and crime-fighting work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and improving the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist skills and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

Delivery and support deliver, maintain, coordinate, and organize the technology that the authority's employees use in their work. Delivery and support provide support regarding all technology used by the core operations.

Job Description

As an IT technician, you will have an exciting workday, where you work closely with the operations in an interesting work environment. You focus on solutions based on the police's work and the needs of the operations.

Your main tasks include:

  • providing second-line IT support to our end users
  • working with installations during renovations
  • delivery and installation of new technology in various areas
  • administration of existing equipment

The place of employment is in Uddevalla, but you will primarily operate within the entire Police Area Fyrbodal and travel within the entire western region may occur. On-call duty is included in the position.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • IT-oriented upper secondary or post-secondary education or relevant work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • At least two years of recent work experience as a Second-line IT technician, where you have independently handled cases and met users in person.
  • Good knowledge of PCs, printers, peripherals, and network communication equipment.
  • Experience working in case management systems, with accompanying documentation deemed relevant by the employer.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Driving license B (manual)
  • Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Knowledge of Cisco, such as CCNA certification.
  • Experience independently planning and coordinating assignments or projects.
  • Experience working with mobile phone administration in larger organizations deemed relevant by the employer.
  • Experience working with telephone exchange systems.
  • Experience working with audio/video systems.
  • Experience working administratively with server configuration, policy management, and/or AD.
  • Experience setting up new workplaces and new establishments.
