The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist acts, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, dismiss and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are operations that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

As a security guard, you help protect essential societal functions. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a role with a high level of security, where accuracy and collaboration are key.

Working hours: Varying hours, both day and night

Job responsibilities: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to protected areas. You are responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and avert threats.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who has personal maturity and feels secure in the role of a security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great emphasis on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. To work at certain objects, a security clearance, in-depth control, and a security interview will be conducted.

If you have the right profile, we will cover your training.

Requirements for applicants:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Driver's license B

Preferred qualifications:

• Civil security guard training (or military security guard training, completed from 2016 or later)
• Weapon training
• Guard training (VU1 + VU2)

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted and why Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

In addition, you need to be unpunished, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security. To work as a security guard, a security guard approval from the County Administrative Board is also required (we will handle the application).

** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have a security guard training from the Armed Forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civilian security guard.
