Summer Job as a Firefighter at Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant

Falck Industrial Fire Services is currently the world's largest private fire service organization. Falck Fire Services Sweden has extensive and good experience in providing fire services at airports, nuclear power plants, and high-risk industries. In Sweden, Falck provides fire services and occupational health care at Forsmark and Ringhals nuclear power plants. Falck also operates fire services and ground services at Bodø Airport in Norway. Through our training department, we deliver safety-enhancing training in healthcare, fire safety, threats & violence, crisis management, and PDV.

This is a unique opportunity to gain experience from a specialized industrial fire service where the focus is on preventive work and the highest safety standards. You will be part of a professional shift team and work during June, July, and August 2026 to cover for regular staff during their vacation.

Your Role as a Firefighter at Ringhals

As a firefighter with us, your main focus will be on proactive and preventive measures to ensure the safety of the facility. You will work in an environment where quality and precision are of utmost importance. Your tasks include:

• Systematic fire protection work (SBA).
• Developing and preparing internal exercises for the fire brigade.
• Performing service and technical replacements of the facility's fire systems.
• Responsible for and maintaining materials, vehicles, and training areas.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a confident, responsible, and driven team player with good physical ability. You handle stressful situations calmly and have a positive attitude towards both routine tasks and new challenges.

Basic Requirements:

• Completed firefighter training (SMO, Rescue Operations, GRIB, or equivalent).
• Category C driver's license.
• Approved results on smoke and chemical diving tests according to AFS 2023:15.
• Swedish in speech and writing as well as good knowledge of English.
• Category B driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is a significant advantage as working hours do not always match public transport.

Desirable:

• Training as Rescue Leader A or Supervision A.

Recruitment Process and Security Requirements

Working at a nuclear power plant imposes high safety requirements. The process therefore includes:

• Drug testing and background check.
• Physical employment tests according to applicable AFS.
• Selected candidates will be invited to testing days in the spring of 2026.
