The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS) in Halmstad is experiencing significant growth with many exciting challenges. We are now looking for a security officer. The Security Department is responsible for managing the security interests of the Armed Forces and the FMTS unit. This task is accomplished by actively preventing and countering security threats and managing incidents primarily through security protection measures.

Main Responsibilities

Your tasks will include conducting security protection analyses, working with physical security, performing regular internal controls with action plans, and providing security training for FMTS personnel. Tasks such as personnel matters and security-protected procurement are important parts of the job. You will also conduct security reporting and manage protective and security-threatening activities. Additionally, you will develop and oversee FMTS internal instructions and procedures for conducting security services and participate in exercise planning.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Degree from a university or equivalent that the employer deems comparable
  • Experience in administration and case management
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Driver's license B

The position is a full-time and permanent employment as a civilian position. The employment begins with a probationary period of 6 months. Salary and benefits according to collective agreements; any salary requests should be stated in the application. Start date by agreement. The place of employment is Halmstad. Travel is required in the position, and the work entails requirements for domestic/international travel.

As an employee of the Armed Forces, you are offered the opportunity for three hours of physical training per week during working hours, reimbursement for medical visits, up to seven weeks of vacation per year, and generous working time agreements.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, headquartered in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center.
