Hallands Hamnar is strengthening its organization and is looking for a Security Manager who will take overall responsibility for security in our ports in Halmstad and Varberg.

The Role

In the role of Security Manager, you are responsible for driving, developing, and coordinating the security work within Hallands Hamnar. You operate in a socially important and complex environment where port security, maritime security, security protection, physical security, and emergency preparedness are central components. You will drive the development of the security area forward and ensure that legal requirements, processes, and routines are adhered to and implemented in practical operations. You will act as a unifying force in the security work and create structure, clarity, and safety in an organization with many contact points. The role includes budget responsibility, follow-up, and requirements setting against external suppliers as well as representing the organization in external security forums.

The position entails both strategic and operational responsibilities, and you will be a natural partner to management, authorities, and external actors. You will be part of the management team and also serve as the chief of staff in our crisis management organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop security work within physical security, personnel security, surveillance, port security (ISPS), and maritime security
• Function as the Security Protection Manager and drive the systematic security protection work, including security checks and register controls
• Be responsible for crisis preparedness, continuity planning, and staff function during a crisis
• Collaborate with authorities, external suppliers, and security forums
• Be responsible for training and security awareness in the organization
• Contribute to procurements and security-related requirements setting
• Budget responsibility for the security area
• Post-secondary education in security, law, social sciences, or another relevant field is advantageous.
