Welcome to the Infection Clinic in Östersund!

The Infection Clinic is traditionally organized into four units: ward, outpatient clinic, needle exchange clinic, and medical ward, distributed among three heads.

The care ward consists of 17 isolation rooms with the possibility of double occupancy in two rooms. All types of infectious diseases are treated in the ward. CPAP and HFCN are used, and telemetry options are available, which is why care is sometimes of an intermediate care nature.

Östersund is the only centrally located city in the Jämtland Härjedalen Region. The hospital is thus strategically placed in the middle of the catchment area, and decision-making paths are short. If you are interested in research, we have an active research unit centrally for the region that encourages and seeks to ensure the possibility of this within your employment. We are an academic healthcare unit, conduct research, and are part of the regionalized medical education at Umeå University. Therefore, pedagogical and scientific skills are meritorious. The position includes a duty to supervise medical students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities consist of work both in the infection outpatient clinic and the infection ward, as well as consultation activities. Infection on-call duty/consultation is included in the position from Monday to Sunday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in infectious medicine.

Please attach documentation/certificates of scientific, pedagogical, and clinical skills (see under "other information" for the requested documents).

OTHER

Your application should include the following accompanying documents:

  • A structured CV
  • Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the physician completed their basic education. This also applies to physicians trained in another EU country and in countries outside the EU.
  • License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • If applicable, a certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Associate Professor, as well as the date of the defense and the title of the dissertation.
  • Any additional documented qualifications regarding clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the applied position

Verification of medical license and specialist certificate will be conducted via IVO and HOSP.

As an employer, we can offer our own training facilities with a gym and various group activities. You will also become a member of our staff association, which offers discounts and a variety of activities. We have made our medieval for recruitment and kindly but firmly request no contact with ad sellers or other sellers of recruitment services.

We look forward to your application!
