We are looking for summer substitutes in elderly care in Berg Municipality.

If you enjoy a responsible, developing, and interesting job where you can work independently as well as in a team, you might be the person we are looking for. We offer a summer bonus for those who work at least 75% for a minimum of 8 weeks.

Job Duties

As a summer substitute in elderly care, you will work with care and social support for people in need of help to manage their daily lives. The work is based on the individual's needs and wishes, where dialogue and collaboration are important tools to achieve high-quality care. By working with us, you contribute to creating an environment for the individual characterized by community, companionship, participation, and activity.

Your duties will include helping people with tasks such as: hygiene, dressing, and cleaning, as well as providing support during meals. Working with health conditions related to cognitive impairments (such as dementia) is common. Duties delegated by licensed healthcare professionals may also occur. Collaboration is a very important part of your daily work, and you will work together with your closest colleagues and healthcare professionals to meet the individual needs of each person. Your duties will also include documentation and contact with relatives.

For this advertisement, we welcome those interested in monthly employment as summer substitutes in our special accommodations and home care groups in the areas of North, Central, and South. We have units in the following locations:

  • Myrviken
  • Hackås
  • Svenstavik
  • Åsarna
  • Rätan
  • Storsjö

As a monthly employed summer substitute, you will work based on a rotating schedule that includes either day and evening shifts or night shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to make a difference for others and have a genuine interest in care work.

Primarily, we are looking for those who are trained nursing assistants or who are in training for that role, but you who are untrained but have previous experience in elderly care are also warmly welcome to apply. A completed high school diploma is desired but not required. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement as the work requires good communication skills and involves documentation requirements. A driver's license is required for work in home care. Before you start, you will receive a proper introduction from experienced staff in our operations.

Berg Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of the South Sámi language and culture.
