We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist to our team at municipal rehab
We are looking for someone who is driven by varied work, is development and solution-focused, and wants to contribute to ensuring that every individual has the opportunity for as active, independent, and participatory a life as possible.
Job Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist at municipal rehab, you will be part of a team around the individual and work according to our routines and processes. Our workgroup consists of two occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, and a rehab assistant, where we work in pairs in the different teams. The entire municipality is our work area, and we work with individuals who have home healthcare in their own accommodation, LSS, personal assistance, short-term accommodation, and special accommodations. A large part of the work involves making individual activity assessments, designing and implementing rehabilitation efforts, and prescribing medical technical aids. The work also includes guidance and instruction to the individual, relatives, staff, and students.
We work in geographical teams divided into north, middle, and south. Professions we work closely with include nursing staff, nurses, district nurses, assistance assessors, and unit managers. There are cars available that belong to municipal rehab and can be used in daily work to the different areas, such as for heavy lifting and handling of aids, as well as access to tools to use in the work.
Qualifications
For the position, you must be a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working in municipal operations is an advantage. Given the many contacts that the assignment entails, as well as our documentation requirements, your knowledge of the Swedish language must be very good (both spoken and written). A driver's license for a passenger car (B driver's license) is a requirement.
Berg Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of South Sámi language and culture.
Personal Qualities
Since the work involves contact with people in various life situations, it is important that you have a positive attitude and a constructive approach. You also need to be flexible and have good planning and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you enjoy working salutogenically and are good at seeing opportunities and solutions in your daily life. The ability to work both independently and in a team is also necessary. We place great importance on personal suitability based on these abilities.
We Offer
Working in Berg Municipality means that you become part of an organization in constant development and progress. Our employees are our most important resource, and we value you for your unique skills and experience. There is an opportunity for vacation and pension exchange, as well as access to the benefits portal Benify. We also offer wellness grants and the opportunity for wellness hours. Ongoing opportunities for further education within your profession, both internally and externally, are offered. There are good bus connections to Svenstavik, where the head office is located.
The position is a permanent employment with placement as soon as possible (according to agreement). Selection and invitation to interviews may occur continuously during the advertising period, so do not wait too long with your application.
Warm welcome to apply to us at municipal rehab!
