Midwife/Nurse to the Gynecology Clinic in Skellefteå

The Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (CFOG) Västerbotten is a regional organization with approximately 250 employees, where units at the region's three hospitals collaborate. CFOG operates with a cross-regional process orientation, and the hospitals in the region jointly ensure that people in Västerbotten have access to specialized maternity care, delivery, postpartum care, gynecological outpatient care, gynecological surgery, tumor surgery, and robotic surgery.

The unit in Skellefteå has about 90 employees. The operations include delivery services and a shared ward for postpartum and gynecological care. Benign gynecological surgery is conducted within the unit, and collaboration occurs with the unit in Umeå for tumor surgeries. The outpatient services consist of specialized maternity care, gynecological outpatient care, and midwifery services. Infertility investigations in the region are centralized to the clinic in Skellefteå.

We are now looking for staff for our team at the Gynecology Clinic in Skellefteå.

At CFOG, employees are expected to participate in operational development, for example, by joining working groups or taking on their own areas of responsibility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a midwife/nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

In your role, you are a team player in everything that happens at the Gynecology Clinic. We work professionally and put the patient in focus. The job responsibilities involve addressing patients' medical and specific care needs, planning and prioritizing the actions to be taken. The work consists largely of administrative tasks where you handle patient cases through telephone advice and respond via 1177.se. To some extent, physical patient meetings are also included, where you, in your professional role, care for day care patients and assist in outpatient surgeries where we use patient-controlled sedation. The work at the clinic includes participating in abortions. You will also have your own outpatient patients, such as cervical screenings, changing prolapse rings, certain STIs, and meeting patients with acute gynecological issues.

We are a clinic that constantly renews work methods and develops care to greatly benefit the patient and ensure employee satisfaction.

The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, daytime Mon-Fri.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for a licensed midwife, alternatively someone with several years of experience as a registered nurse. Experience in surgery/gynecology or outpatient work is an advantage.

You enjoy working both independently and in various teams and are flexible in thought and action. You are interested in development and logistics, and are solution-focused.

Being service-oriented and having good communication skills in Swedish, as well as English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for this job, as you will meet and convey information to patients from different backgrounds.
