Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
The Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology (CFOG) Västerbotten is a regional organization with approximately 250 employees, including units at the three hospitals in the region that collaborate. CFOG has a working method with a regional process orientation, and the hospitals in the region are jointly responsible for ensuring that people in Västerbotten have access to specialist maternity care, delivery, postpartum care, gynecological outpatient care, gynecological surgery, tumor surgery, and robotic surgery. Based on science, we at CFOG work together for effective flows and ensure that operations are conducted with the highest quality and in accordance with a defined operational plan.
CFOG in Skellefteå has about 90 employees working within the area. Our focus is to offer comprehensive and high-quality women's health care, including gynecological outpatient care, delivery, and postpartum care. We have extensive knowledge and provide specialized care for pelvic floor, vulva, urotherapy, as well as endometriosis. In Skellefteå, we provide maternal health care, specialist maternity care, postpartum and gynecological inpatient care, and breastfeeding clinics for residents of Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities, as well as infertility services for the entire region.
Due to study leave, we now need to strengthen the team at CFOG in Skellefteå with a nurse, for placement in delivery/postpartum and gynecological inpatient care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.
The workplace is a combined department with delivery and a shared inpatient department for postpartum and gynecological care. As a nurse with us, you rotate and primarily work in the inpatient department for postpartum and gynecological care. On the department, we work in teams around the patients. The team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, midwives, and doctors.
For patients in postpartum care, the care may involve medical checks, recovery after delivery, and support in parenting. The gynecological inpatient care mainly involves pre- and postoperative care, and to some extent care for cancer patients and palliative care.
In your role, you work professionally and put the patient in focus. As a nurse, you attend to the patients' medical and specific nursing needs and plan and prioritize the measures that are implemented. As a nurse, you collaborate with other nursing staff to create a good working environment and offer quality care together. The work requires independence, problem-solving ability, and the ability to make ongoing decisions.
In this role, you are expected to work two shifts - day, evening, and weekend. The work involves weekend duty 2 out of 5 weekends, except for the period from June to August when weekend duty is scheduled for every other weekend. Three shifts with night shifts may also become relevant in the future.
We work according to a working time model with a wish schedule, which gives you as an employee the opportunity to influence your working hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience from postpartum, gynecological, and/or surgical care.
You have good judgment, pronounced collaboration skills, and the ability to be flexible in your professional role. You relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner, where you listen, communicate, and resolve any conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you have good empathetic ability, where you value the patient's experience and needs and strive for professionalism. You are skilled at working independently, seeing opportunities and solutions, and adapting to changing circumstances.
