The Social Administration is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer services based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This may involve providing the elderly with a safe and meaningful everyday life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, youth, and adults in vulnerable life situations. The position is located within the health and medical care department. As a nurse in Varberg Municipality's health and medical care department, you will be part of an engaged and stable organization with about 100 permanent employed nurses and around 20 hourly substitutes. You will work in the nursing team responsible for patients within short-term care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in health and medical care where your professional judgment truly makes a difference? With us, you will encounter a daily life filled with variety, personal responsibility, and a meaningful mission where the individual is always at the center. We are now looking for nurses who want to help develop the future of care in the municipality.

As a nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on health and medical care interventions within the municipality's areas of responsibility. You will work with patients in regular and special housing, within functional support and social psychiatry depending on your placement.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Independently conducting medical assessments and interventions
• Collaborating with teams, relatives, and other actors regarding the patient's care
• Supervising and delegating tasks to care staff
• Documenting according to applicable legislation and guidelines
• Actively participating in quality and development work within the organization

The work takes place during the day, evenings, and weekends, depending on the needs of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are confident in your professional role, take responsibility for the quality of care, and have a good approach. You need to be able to make independent decisions while collaborating with others in the team. You also have the ability to document according to applicable laws and procedures.

We also see that you have:

• Nursing license
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Driving license (B) is required for the position

Experience from municipal health and medical care is an advantage.
