We are now seeking a medical student who wants to work as a medical assistant/nursing assistant during the summer of 2026.

About the job

As a medical assistant/nursing assistant at Oskarströms Health Center, you will work in a team where close collaboration and high-quality care are top priorities.

As a medical assistant/nursing assistant with us, we offer a varied job where you will have the opportunity to receive your own patients under supervision. You will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the tasks of other professions and gain insight into the workings of primary care. As a medical assistant, you will receive a positive introduction to the work of a future doctor, thus providing the conditions to grow into the future role of a physician.

Examples of job tasks include:

• Triage of acute patients.
• Own clinic and receiving patients under the supervision of either a nurse and/or a doctor.
• Assisting in doctor appointments.
• Sampling and laboratory work.
• Consultation.

About the workplace

At Oskarströms Health Center, you will have a meaningful job where you can make a difference!

Our newly renovated health center is located next to a nursing home, and we can offer a complete range of medical and district nurse services, laboratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological counseling, child health care, and district nurse-led diabetes and asthma/COPD clinics. You will collaborate with many of them as a medical assistant.

It is important to us that care is provided at the right level with the patient in focus, respect for the individual, and good collaboration between professions. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Ongoing medical education.
• If you have studied in Sweden and completed at least nine semesters, you can apply as a medical assistant with us.
• If you have studied outside of Sweden and are applying for a position as a medical assistant, you should have studied to a level equivalent to at least nine semesters in Sweden.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Practical application of the Swedish language through the ability to understand and be understood in speech and writing.
• It is an advantage if you are multilingual.
• It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
