Job Responsibilities

As a summer intern with us at Clinical Microbiology, depending on how far you have progressed in your education, you will work with various standard BMA tasks such as analyses, examinations, and tests either in bacteriology, serology, or molecular biology.

You will have an independent and developing internship with us while working in a well-functioning team.

The work is scheduled during daytime on weekdays.

Summer Internship

The summer internship extends over weeks 24-33. We primarily offer summer internships to those who can work the entire period. There is a possibility for extension if you are a licensed biomedical analyst.

About the Workplace

Clinical microbiology serves the Halland region. The laboratory is divided into four sections: bacteriological culture, molecular biology, and serology/immunology as well as substrate manufacturing. The unit has 50 employees, of which 25 are biomedical analysts.

Our laboratory analyzes approximately 200,000 samples per year. Continuous development of our analysis offerings is a given, and clinical research is part of our work. We have a close collaboration with our colleagues in the chemical and pathological laboratories.

At the lab, we also have good collaboration between different professional categories, which contributes to fast decision-making, good quality, and a pleasant working environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst or someone who is in training to become a biomedical analyst, or someone with similar education.

It is important that you have good collaboration skills and that you are quality-conscious. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
