Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute with us at Transfusion Medicine/Blood Center, you will, depending on how far you have progressed in your education, work with blood donation, component production, blood group serological analyses, and examinations.

You will start working during the day, but the position may also involve evening and weekend work.

You will have an independent and developing job here with us while working in a wonderful close-knit team.

About the Workplace

Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine in Halland is part of Medical Diagnostics Halland. We operate at the hospitals in Halmstad, Varberg, Kungsbacka, and Falkenberg. Our operations are constantly evolving and are conducted in modern facilities. We are an accredited organization, which places high demands on competence, documentation, and quality systems.

At the Transfusion Medicine/Blood Center in Halmstad, about 17 people work here, and there is an engaged, friendly group that welcomes you to their workplace. For us, a good collaborative climate and team spirit are important pieces of the puzzle in our operations. A sense of quality with a high level of service is something we see as a given among our employees.

We work with donor recruitment, blood donation, produce all blood components for the region, and perform blood group serological analyses and examinations.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst or is in training to become a biomedical analyst. For those in training, your title will be laboratory assistant. Working with us means you will work independently but also be part of a team. Therefore, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and that you are quality-conscious.

Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
