Responsibilities

The responsibilities include psychiatric nursing, such as conversation therapy, medication follow-up, medication administration, and assessments. This also includes collaboration work with, among others, SIP and other usual tasks at the outpatient clinic. You will be part of a highly competent nursing group. Here, you will receive supervision, and there is also the possibility for internal training. As a nurse in psychiatric outpatient care in Varberg, you will work closely with other professionals. We meet patients through clinic visits, home visits, and in some cases, digital visits.

Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

About the Workplace

Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland's administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care.

The outpatient care offers psychiatry close to the residents and has clinics in every municipality. Our operational focus, Right Care at the Right Time!, means a continuous effort towards increased quality, shorter lead times, and better patient participation. Improvement work is ongoing and involves all staff.

The adult psychiatric clinic in Varberg is tasked with investigating and treating specialist psychiatric patients. The staff works in interdisciplinary teams, and the clinic is characterized by a positive spirit and ongoing improvement work.

The Varberg clinic has two general psychiatric teams, a DBT team, and a psychosis team. The Adult Psychiatric Clinic (VPM) in Varberg is a specialist psychiatric clinic with about 40 employees working in interdisciplinary teams, in collaboration with both inpatient care and local healthcare. The teams include doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, caregivers, dietitians, rehabilitation coordinators, and occupational therapists. The target group is individuals over 18 years old with severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and suicidality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Specialist training in psychiatry is advantageous, as is experience working as a nurse in psychiatric care.

You contribute to good collaboration in the workplace through strong engagement, good communication, a positive attitude, and sharing your knowledge. The nature of the work requires a flexible and professional employee who is confident in their professional competence and accustomed to working independently. You are motivated to improve the operation with the patient's best interests in mind. You have good collaboration and initiative skills and constantly strive for personal and professional development. You also need to have a good ability to prioritize and structure your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
