The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for elderly care. The sector is also responsible for the provision of all municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory teams, day activities, and support for relatives.

In the Employment and Individual Sector, individual and family care, labor market and development, functional support, integration, and adult education are organized.

Are you caring and engaged? We are looking for summer substitutes who want to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for residents in Kil Municipality. Work full-time or part-time – we will discuss what suits you and the needs of the operation!

We offer you scheduled working hours during weeks 26 - 33. Those interested can also express interest in a paid temporary position for the rest of the year (before and/or after the summer period).

We are looking for summer substitutes for:

• Functional Support: Support for residents of Kil with disabilities, both adults and children
• Accommodation according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service) ∙ Social psychiatric accommodation ∙ Housing support within social psychiatry ∙ Daily activities ∙ Short-term supervision/short-term stay for children and young people under LSS ∙ Personal assistance
• Elderly Care: Support, service, and care primarily for elderly residents of Kil

In special housing, you will work in the center of Kil under one roof.

In home care, you work with people in their homes throughout the municipality. You can get around by car, bicycle, or on foot.

Job Responsibilities:

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our clients receive support, care, and a good everyday life. You meet people with different support needs. Your tasks are based on a set plan for each person. This may involve:

• Ensuring that our clients receive what they need
• Contributing to meaningful activities and community
• Supporting in everyday tasks
• Household chores, such as cleaning, laundry, and in some cases cooking
• Personal care
• Health and medical tasks, such as administering medication
• Documentation and record-keeping

Does it feel unfamiliar and uncertain? Relax – we ensure that you receive a good introduction so that you feel secure in your professional role! There will also be experienced colleagues available to whom you can turn with questions.

Working Hours:

We provide services for people around the clock, every day of the year. This means that you may work during the day, evening, or night on both weekdays and weekends.

Workplaces:

Special housing and functional support services are located in the center of Kil. Home care, personal assistance, and housing support take place in people's homes somewhere within Kil Municipality.

Qualifications:

• You are at least 18 years old
• Experience or interest in care and support
• Flexibility, responsibility, and patience
• Interest in collaboration with others
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

If you have a care and support education, we will be especially pleased.

In some of our operations, you need a driver's license for a manual transmission, but it is not a requirement to apply for a summer substitute position with us.

Before employment, you must be able to provide identification and a criminal record extract.
