BMM Stockholm Norra is part of primary care in Stockholm and consists of 14 midwifery clinics. The clinics are spread from Kungsholmen to Märsta. Working at a midwifery clinic and with pregnancies has a health-promoting perspective and is one of the foundations of public health.

With us at BMM Norra, you will be an important team member in the care of pregnant women where gynecologists/obstetricians, general practitioners, midwives, business developers, and an MLA are included. We also have a close collaboration with BMM Stockholm Södra and primary care health centers.

Job Description

The work involves all tasks for specialist doctors at a midwifery clinic. The clinical work is done in close collaboration with general practitioners, obstetricians, and midwives at the clinic. The position means that you work at 3-4 clinics but have a home clinic and a supervisor.

In your meetings with pregnant women, you will work as an obstetrician with obstetric issues, while the general practitioner addresses general medical issues and the midwife follows regional guidelines (basic program) for pregnancy monitoring.

The work requires broad competence and independence. The goal is the right competence for the right care needs. We continuously provide you with opportunities for further education, and you will be part of the development and quality assurance work within our operations.

We work in the medical record systems Obstetrix and TakeCare.

Employment Form:

Permanent employment. Full-time (100%), but part-time employment may be discussed. Working hours Monday to Friday. A probationary period may be applied. Start date according to agreement.

About You:

Qualifications:

Specialist doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Experience as a qualified specialist and having worked in Swedish healthcare, preferably primary care, is an advantage. Experience with the TakeCare medical record system is also an advantage.

Personal Characteristics:

We are looking for someone who is flexible enough to work independently but also enjoys collaborating with other partners and colleagues. We seek someone who enjoys working in a results-oriented and goal-oriented manner and performs tasks with quality. We want you to be engaged and responsible, with the ability to adapt and find solutions to the challenges we face at the midwifery clinic. You have a supportive attitude, easily collaborate with all different professional groups, and possess good communication skills. Previous experience working in a midwifery clinic is an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability.

  • in addition to Swedish professional authorization, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
