Do you want to make a difference for children's and adolescents' mental health?
Do you want to work clinically while also helping to develop new methods and knowledge? We have received an expanded mandate and therefore now have the opportunity to expand our staff.
Take the opportunity and become one of us!
BUP OCD and Related Conditions
is a unit within the BUP Research, Development, and Education section. Within the section, there is the BUP Research and Development Center, which is a cohesive resource for research, development, and education within BUP Stockholm. BUP OCD and related conditions is part of the FoU center, which is a dynamic workplace where clinical staff and researchers work closely together.
BUP OCD and related conditions is a diagnosis-specific unit where we conduct child and adolescent psychiatry at a specialist level, while also conducting research in the field. Furthermore, we have a development and education mandate. At BUP OCD, we meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 years and their families. The target group is children and adolescents with serious child psychiatric problems, often with comorbidity of several diagnoses. We work both in home environments, in other local environments, and at the clinic. The interventions are time-limited and based on clear goals that are regularly followed up. We receive referrals from child psychiatry in Stockholm and the rest of the country.
Job Responsibilities
As a psychologist with us, you will primarily work with CBT treatments for OCD and related conditions, such as BDD, hoarding syndrome, tics/Tourette, dermatillomania, and trichotillomania. You will also conduct assessments with a strong focus on child psychiatric differential diagnostics. Child psychiatric investigations may also occur, but are a smaller part of our assignment. The role also includes collaboration with other clinics within child and adolescent psychiatry, child and youth habilitation, schools, and social services. The work will be clinical, but in your clinical work, you will also contribute to research and will have close contact with researchers and ongoing projects with us.
Qualifications
You who are applying should be a licensed psychologist with CBT competence, at least step 1.
We prefer that you have experience working with children, adolescents, and parents from BUP or other healthcare services. If you have knowledge and experience working with individuals with OCD and neuropsychiatric issues, we consider it an advantage.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, structured, flexible, and has a positive attitude and good collaboration skills. You are secure in your professional role and stable as a person. We place great importance on personal suitability.
We Offer
We offer a well-functioning unit with a good work climate and consistently good results in both employee surveys and patient surveys. We have low staff turnover, and many experienced colleagues within the unit have chosen to stay long at the workplace.
BUP Stockholm works systematically with management and leadership development to create a good and sustainable work environment where everyone can be heard and feel seen. There are good opportunities for everyone to develop and become really good in their profession. We have benefits such as favorable pension terms, the possibility of salary exchange, free publicly funded healthcare, extra compensation during parental leave, and wellness benefits. We also offer flexible working hours if the work allows.
Employment Type
The position is permanent and full-time. Start date by agreement.
Other Information
Interviews may take place continuously during the application period. A probationary period may be applied.
Warm welcome with your application!
