Welcome to us
The elderly care activities in Bromma consist of three care and nursing homes, Mälarbacken - Brommagården and Traneberg's care and nursing homes.
Mälarbacken is a care and nursing home for the elderly over 65 years. At Mälarbacken, 282 people live with various focuses including dementia, somatics, psychiatric profile housing, as well as short-term and respite care. Mälarbacken is located in a scenic area and is easily accessible by car, bus, or subway. Mälarbacken is an academic hub and hosts nursing students from both basic and specialist training as well as physiotherapy and occupational therapy students. Mälarbacken has five dementia units, four somatic units, one unit for psychiatric profile, one unit for short-term care - and respite care, as well as a day activity.
We are now looking for a temporary physiotherapist to Mälarbacken care and nursing home to strengthen staffing during the spring and summer of 2026.

Your role
The rehab team in Bromma consists of 4 physiotherapists and 4 occupational therapists. You will work in a team closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and other care staff. This means you will work across several units in collaboration with your occupational therapist colleagues and the other physiotherapists in the rehab team. Together with your physiotherapist and occupational therapist colleagues, you will contribute to ensuring that our residents receive person-centered, function-preserving care. You will provide guidance to care staff to support a health-promoting approach. The assignment includes standard tasks for a physiotherapist such as functional assessments, follow-ups, prescriptions, and fitting of aids, management of aids, and participation in walking and transfer training. In your role as a physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessments, actions, documentation, as well as guidance and training of care staff, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and other professional categories. Guidance of students is also included in your role.
Your competence and experience
You are a licensed physiotherapist, preferably with a few years of work experience in elderly care.
As a physiotherapist, it is important that you enjoy working in a team. You find it easy to collaborate with different types of professional categories and with relatives. You are secure and stable and have the ability to see the overall perspective of the operation when you work. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You are open to improvements and want to contribute to our joint development. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We would like you to be interested in quality and development as there are great opportunities for professional development.
