Conducting assessments and observations could be your next challenge!

Stepping to Work (STA) is a valuable and qualitative service procured by the Employment Service with the ultimate goal of identifying resources and support needs in a cohesive process, as well as strengthening and developing participants towards employment or education.

Your main assignment

Your main assignment will be to be responsible for conducting assessments and observations based on the following occupational therapy instruments:

• Model of Human Occupation Screening Tool (MOHOST)
• Dialog about Work Ability (DOA)
• Worker Role Interview (WRI)
• Assessment of Work Characteristics (AWC)
• Assessment of Work Performance (AWP)

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and planning our intervention for the participant
• Conducting competency assessments to highlight the participant's skills, conditions, and interests related to the labor market
• Conducting qualitative assessments of our participants' abilities and needs and performing observations under work-like conditions
• Providing support during activity execution
• Adapting activities based on a specific participant's needs, focusing on duration, complexity, and language skills related to their target profession
• Using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to highlight the participant's own resources and build trust in their abilities
• Through lectures and individual conversations, discussing areas such as Activity Patterns, Stress, and the Importance of Balance
• Responsible for follow-ups at participants' work trial locations
• Responsible for ensuring that the jointly set goals after each part of the service are followed up and documented
• Testing aids when applicable
• Collaboration with colleagues such as employment consultants, study and career counselors, and language support
• Collaboration and dialogue with the Employment Service at the local level

The target group is job seekers who, due to various barriers, are far from the labor market and need individually tailored work preparation measures to approach professional life and/or start studies towards a profession. Read more about the assignment here!

To succeed in your role, we believe you need to have a broad experience base and access to a solid toolbox to draw your recommendations from.

You are responsible for our reporting to the client, which is why a strong aptitude for documentation will facilitate your work. Since the role involves many contacts within and outside the organization, you need to easily build trusting relationships with people.

At AKG Sweden, we work in teams, and in the role of occupational therapist, you will be responsible together with the employment consultant and the Quality Manager to ensure that we deliver a service we are proud of through our internal processes, and you are a key person in the ongoing development work.

Employment Conditions

• Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period
• Part-time to full-time based on agreement
• Location in Stockholm, preferably traveling between several of our different offices
