Election Worker Needed for Upcoming Elections

We are looking for an election worker who wants to engage in practical and logistical tasks and contribute to the execution of the elections.

About the Position

As an election worker focused on materials and logistics, you are an important part of the Election Office's work before, during, and after the elections. You will work with practical and logistical tasks that are crucial for the election organization to function correctly and fairly. The work includes inventory, packaging, and post-election handling of election materials. If necessary, you will also participate in sorting, handling, and transporting advance votes. You will assist in delivering election materials to polling places and perform other related election tasks.

The work is characterized by clear routines, high quality standards, and close collaboration with colleagues in the Election Office. The role offers insight into how elections are conducted in practice and is suitable for those interested in democratic processes and public service. The work also includes practical tasks that can be physically demanding at times.

Examples of Tasks:

  • participate in inventory, packaging, and post-election handling of election materials
  • if necessary, participate in sorting, handling, and transporting advance votes
  • assist in delivering election materials to polling places
  • perform other related election tasks

About the Workplace

As an election worker, you will be part of a team with other colleagues in the Election Office who work both individually and as a team. The Election Office consists of a team of about 8-10 people belonging to the Administration and Information Department of the Municipal Management Administration. The work is based at Åbylunden 1, where the Election Office has its primary workplace.

Qualifications

For the role of election worker, we are looking for someone who is flexible, structured, and meticulous, with a good ability to work according to fixed routines and clear deadlines, even during periods of high workload. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have good teamwork skills. You are solution-oriented, can maintain accuracy under pressure, and have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as basic computer skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • adequate high school education
  • driver's license (B)

Desirable:

  • experience in politically governed operations
  • experience and knowledge of the electoral process
  • experience in logistics

Employment type: special fixed-term employment
