We are now looking for dedicated employees for our eye clinic in Sollefteå. Here, we work with patients who have chronic eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes, as well as treating children with strabismus issues and visual impairments. We also perform cataract surgeries, strabismus surgeries, and eyelid plastic surgeries.

Our operation in Sollefteå is a stable one that continues at the same level as before, even if other operations at the hospital are changing. We are a cheerful team that works closely with our colleagues in Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall, and Härnösand, and we support each other in our common goal of providing the best possible care to our patients. We are happy to share our respective expertise and ensure that we lift each other up. No question is too silly.

We are looking for 2 nurses to join our team! The positions are permanent full-time positions with a start date according to agreement.

Nurse at the Eye Clinic, Sollefteå Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the eye clinic, you will:

• Prepare patients for doctor visits with vision tests, eye pressure measurements, visual field examinations, and various other measurements and photographs.
• Conduct independent consultations, including glaucoma checks and diabetes photo screenings.

The eye clinic has a lot of technical equipment, so a certain interest in technology is beneficial.

During the training period, which lasts about 1 month, you will learn examination methods and measurement techniques. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in ophthalmology care who is willing to pursue further education to become an ophthalmic nurse.

After completing the training, you will also be able to:

• Assist in cataract surgeries
• Administer intravitreal injections.
• Make independent assessments of performed examinations up to a certain level.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Has good knowledge of English in speech and writing
