As a summer substitute, you will work in our customers' own homes and provide care and support based on assistance decisions and individual implementation plans. You contribute to safety, continuity, and quality of life for our customers while covering for regular staff who are on vacation. The tasks vary based on the customers' needs and may include:

• Personal care – assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and daily routines

• Social support – companionship, conversation, supervision, and reassuring presence

• Meals – support with preparation, serving, and mealtime

• Practical support in everyday life – shopping, errands, and simple household chores

• Accompaniment – helping customers to, for example, doctors or activities outside the home

• Documentation – document performed services according to applicable routines

• Emergency alarms – quickly respond to urgent needs of customers who have alarmed. We work on behalf of Österåker municipality and are responsible for both regular home care tasks and handling emergency alarms between 07:00 and 22:30. This means a varied assignment with both planned and more urgent interventions.

The work is both independent and team-based, with support from colleagues and managers.

• Fluent in Swedish – you master Swedish both in speech and writing and have the ability to document in a professional manner.

• Age – you must be at least 18 years old to work with us.

• Care and support education – you have completed or are currently studying in care, support, or social work (e.g., nursing assistant, nurse, occupational therapist, social worker, doctor, etc.)

• Work experience – you have experience from care, support, or service professions.

• B driver's license – you are an experienced driver and can navigate well in traffic to visit our customers in their homes.

• Bicycle experience – you are a safe and experienced cyclist.

Work period: June, July, and/or August 2026, we require that you can work at least four consecutive weeks (but preferably longer) and there is the possibility of extra work both before and after the summer.

Working hours:

Daytime: 07:00–15:30

Evening: 15:30–22:30

Workplace: you will start from our office in Åkersberga and the work takes place within Österåker municipality. We prefer that you live in or near Åkersberga to facilitate travel to and from work.
