We are now looking for a Junior Interior Designer for an exciting consulting assignment in the automotive industry. The assignment is located in Gothenburg and involves working on interior design for vehicles, with a particular focus on color, materials, and design.

You will work in a creative team and contribute to developing innovative design solutions in line with the client's vision and requirements. The role involves close collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers.

• Work with the color and material team to create a cohesive design vision

• Develop interior design concepts for vehicles and/or car seats

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high quality, appropriate cost levels, and technical feasibility

• Participate in prototype development together with the fabrication team

• Visualize concepts through sketches and 3D models

• Present design ideas and reasoning clearly and professionally

• Report to the Chief Designer and/or department manager

• University degree in Transportation Design or Industrial/Product Design

• 0–5 years of experience in automotive interior design (OEM experience is a plus)

• Good knowledge of Blender for modeling and rendering

• Excellent sketching skills

• Strong ability to visualize and present concepts

• Practical experience with at least some of the following tools:

  • Blender

  • Maya

  • Houdini

  • Alias

  • Gravity Sketch

  • Grasshopper

  • Keyshot

• Experience in taking designs from sketch to concept model (Alias/clay) and further to A-class surfacing

• Good ability to communicate design ideas within a user-centered design process

• Very good English skills, both spoken and written

• Experience in the automotive industry

• Experience working with suppliers and prototype development

• Independent, confident in your role, and a team player

• Structured, analytical, and strong in planning

• Flexible, engaged, and enjoys working towards deadlines
