We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist who wants to work in a team in patients' homes and local environments.
The position includes home rehabilitation but may periodically involve service in our neuro team. You should be interested in working in an organization that is changing, being involved in, and seeing opportunities for development.

Rehab Västra includes four clinics in Västerort: Bromma, Kista, Spånga, and Ekerö. Our mission is primary care rehabilitation within Vårdvalet, which means outpatient work, home visits, equipment assessments, and team-based home rehabilitation.
In the organization, there are dietitians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and receptionists. Our clinic in Spånga also has the additional assignment to run a neuro team with a speech therapist, social worker, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The mission is to provide rehabilitation for individuals who have recently suffered a stroke and individuals with other acquired neurological injuries or diseases. Job Responsibilities
Rehabilitation primarily takes place in the patient's home and its local environment but also at the clinic for individual treatment and/or in groups.
As an occupational therapist in primary care, home rehab, you meet patients of all ages and from different cultures. The patients have a variety of diseases and problems. The work requires broad competence and independence. Some activities are carried out in teams with other professional groups.
The job responsibilities include:
- Activity and function assessment/investigation/training, advice and support on self-care, prescribing assistive devices and information about products and technology, assessment of housing and nearby environments, and environmental measures such as housing adaptation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, guide and support relatives and healthcare staff, and supervise students.
The target group in the neuro team is patients who are newly or recurrently affected by stroke and patients with other acquired brain injuries or neurological diseases who have been assessed within the neurology clinics' inpatient or outpatient care. The interventions are carried out in close collaboration with the patient's relatives and other healthcare providers. The job responsibilities include, in addition to assessment and treatment, also the testing of assistive devices.
Employment Form
Permanent employment starting by agreement. Full-time 40 hours/week. A probationary period may apply.
Qualifications
- Licensed occupational therapist
- Driver's license B
- Experience in primary care is an advantage, as well as having a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or other further education
- Clinical experience with patients with neurological disabilities is an advantage

- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
