Strategic Buyer

We are looking for an experienced and business-driven strategic buyer for a well-established company in an expansion phase. In this role, you will drive the business through strategic decisions, long-term supplier collaborations, and continuous development of the purchasing work, with the opportunity to influence the company's projects and supplier strategies. The assignment is as a consultant and extends until 2026-06-30.

About the Position

As a strategic buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies for selected categories and suppliers. You will work closely with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery reliability. The role has a clear focus on analysis, negotiation, and relationship building, as well as identifying improvement and savings opportunities in the supplier chain.

In this role, you will work closely with business development, project management, product management, and contract managers to ensure that purchasing solutions support the company's strategic goals. The role involves travel to the company's offices and suppliers, both nationally and internationally.

Who Are You?

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing
Previous experience from industrial companies or technology-driven businesses
Ability to draft contracts that support the company's commercial goals
Solid knowledge and experience in legal and commercial matters
Experience in building and managing effective supplier relationships
Documented ability to make decisions even with limited information
High engagement and results orientation, with the ability to create energy and drive within the team
Very good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written

Desirable Experience

Engineering degree (bachelor's or master's) or equivalent education
Experience in strategic purchasing within a technical environment
