JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social Care Administration in Växjö Municipality is one of the largest workplaces in the municipality, with around 2,000 employees. Our mission is to provide good care and support to our residents in a daily life that is both important and meaningful. In the evening and night unit, we work throughout the municipality and meet patients in their homes when the need is greatest. The work involves both emergency interventions and planned visits and is suitable for you who want a varied, independent, and developing assignment while being part of a team where we support each other. The work involves a full-time position with a 32-hour workweek and maintained full-time salary.
We are now looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to be part of the nursing unit in Växjö Municipality. Here you will combine independent assessments and decisions with close teamwork. You contribute to the safety of patients during the most vulnerable hours of the day and work according to a special working method where you make a difference every night.
As a nurse in the evening and night unit, you are responsible for:
- Making assessments and providing advice via phone.
- Performing physical assessments on-site with the patient.
- Implementing measures and follow-ups of both emergency and planned care interventions.
- Being responsible for medication management and delegation.
- Documenting according to applicable routines and legislation.
- Collaborating with various professionals, relatives, and colleagues for safe and secure care.
- Contributing to development and quality work within the organization.

The position is scheduled for evenings and nights according to a roster, with work every third weekend at present. The employment rate is 75-100% or as agreed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a genuine interest in working with people in need of care during the most vulnerable hours of the day. You are confident in your professional role, can make independent decisions, and enjoy taking responsibility. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and have a desire to continue developing in your profession and contribute to improving the quality of care.
Requirements
- License as a nurse.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills and ability to document according to applicable routines.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious
- Experience from home care, emergency care, special housing, or elderly care.
- Specialist training, such as district nurse.
Before a possible employment, we will:
- Request an extract from the criminal record for verification of your own information in the criminal record (442.3) according to § 9 1st. An order for an extract can be made via the police's website.
- Check valid passport or work permit.
- Conduct register checks with IVO and HOSP.
