The Gastroenterology Department in Malmö has 18 inpatient beds and cares for patients with gastrointestinal diseases, that is, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and the liver. Patients come from emergency departments and acute wards or as direct admissions from home. Sometimes they come through our outpatient clinic. About 45 employees work in the department.

The department is characterized by a good work environment with close collaboration among all colleagues in the interdisciplinary team. The work is carried out through a person-centered approach with the patient in focus. The team also consists of four specialist nurses and one specialist nursing assistant whose main task is to support the delivery of good and evidence-based care every day. We work with present leadership in a flat organization with meetings where improvements and development opportunities are always on the agenda.

Our goal is for the care to be individually tailored and characterized by continuity, meaningfulness, and participation for our patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome two nursing assistants for a 1.5-year temporary position.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will be offered a varied job with high satisfaction. You will work with patient care and business development, which occurs through your opportunity to work on projects by joining different project groups that drive the work forward. In consultation with the interdisciplinary team, you will also plan, perform, develop, and evaluate nursing measures and the patient's health status. Actions taken and health status are documented in the Melior journal system.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for protected professional titles, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. You also have knowledge and/or experience in emergency care/healthcare.

It is an advantage for us if you have several years of experience working as a nursing assistant and if you have worked in Melior.
