JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to help turn more ideas into reality in Växjö Municipality? We are looking for a business developer focused on international coordination and external funding, who wants to strengthen the municipality's ability to attract resources and develop and coordinate international collaborations.

In this role, you will work strategically and operationally to create resources for local development. You will coordinate international contacts and partnerships, monitor funding opportunities, and support the municipality's operations in initiating, applying for, and managing externally funded projects. You are accustomed to keeping processes together with many stakeholders, both internally and externally, and can structure complex information into clear documentation and decisions. The work involves turning ideas into feasible projects and ensuring that Växjö Municipality actively takes advantage of the opportunities available in the external environment.

You will be part of the development unit in the sustainability and democracy department of the municipal executive administration. The department works with various aspects of sustainable community development, such as democracy and participation, equal opportunities, climate, and security. Together, we contribute to strengthening Växjö Municipality's long-term development capacity and ability to meet future challenges through development projects, planning, and follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who creates development through collaboration, coordination, and environmental awareness. You have:

• relevant higher education, at least 3 years
• experience in international collaborations, EU programs, SIDA funding, or external financing (e.g., structural funds, Interreg, Horizon, or national calls)
• good knowledge of project management and driving collaboration with many stakeholders
• very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• experience in writing applications, budgeting, reporting, and following up projects according to funders' requirements
• interest in environmental monitoring and the ability to translate analyses into project ideas.

As a person, you are development-driven, collaborative, and structured. You build good relationships, make things happen, and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You have a genuine desire to contribute to the continued development of Växjö Municipality.
