What You Will Work With

With a long and proud history, Östers IF is one of Sweden's most successful football clubs, constantly evolving and growing, and the business organization is now set to be further strengthened. Since 2021, the club and its group have been in an expansive phase, generating around 150 million in revenue by 2025.

We are entering a new and exciting era – and are now looking for a Financial Accountant who wants to help strengthen the financial function of our association. As a Financial Accountant at Östers IF, you will have overall ongoing responsibility for our finances and administration. You will work with everything from ongoing bookkeeping to monthly financial statements, annual accounts, and annual reports. The role also involves ensuring tax reporting and reporting to both the Swedish Tax Agency and the Swedish Football Association as well as UEFA. Together with management and the board, you will drive financial matters forward and contribute to developing our routines and processes.

In addition to the main tasks, you will act as a support to the various parts of the association, for example by providing financial key figures to the restaurant operations, supporting the sports activities, and other parts of the group. This is a hands-on role where you are a central part of our operations and contribute to strengthening the association's financial structure. This is a direct recruitment for a full-time position where you will be employed by Östers IF, starting as agreed.

Who Do We Think You Are?

To thrive with us, we see that you are meticulous, solution-oriented, and analytical. You are also social and communicative, with the ability to collaborate broadly in an association characterized by forward-thinking and engagement. We are looking for someone with a background in finance, for example from a smaller or larger organization where you have worked with similar tasks, or from an accounting or auditing firm. You have several years of experience and are confident and stable in your role. Relevant higher education is a requirement, and experience with collective agreements and reporting to various authorities is a merit.

About the Company

The association Östers IF was founded on April 20, 1930, in the Öster district of Växjö. The club has won Allsvenskan four times and the Swedish Cup once. Since the autumn of 2012, the team has played at the state-of-the-art Spiris Arena, which has a capacity of 12,000 spectators. The representative team will play in Superettan in 2026 and also has a women's team and a large youth and academy operation for boys and girls. For several years, the association has also been conducting extensive sustainability work with the aim of creating a football association for all people in society. The association currently has three wholly-owned subsidiaries that drive real estate development, restaurant and conference operations, and event activities related to elite football.
