At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
With us, you will work with current societal issues influenced by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that concern and engage. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by meeting people and continuous learning.
What does a migration officer do?
As a migration officer, you will handle, investigate, decide, and propose decisions in various types of cases. The decisions have legal effects for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. Additionally, you will work with administration where you manage files and documents that have been received or created in a case. The conversations may involve informing about decisions or explaining the Migration Agency's processes, as well as guiding and providing service. You identify and address any special needs of individuals and, if necessary, hold conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, is attentive, and resolves conflicts constructively. You are clear in your communication and ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved.
Furthermore, you are structured and can independently plan and organize your work effectively towards set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and can easily adapt and change your perspective and approach in altered circumstances.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality.
