The Acute Geriatric Department 13 has 14 care places. With us, elderly multi-sick patients with orthopedic problems are cared for. Most have complex issues and functional disabilities, where specialist knowledge for the care of the elderly and a multidisciplinary approach are crucial for diagnosis and treatment.

Our work within the clinic does not start from a diagnosis; instead, we look at the whole patient. We try in various ways to help the patient preserve as many of their functions as possible. We work in teams and have a holistic view to meet the specific needs of the elderly patient. The teams consist of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and secretaries. All professional categories assess the patient's condition, and a summary is made at the team conference, where an individual plan is established.

There is close cooperation with municipalities and primary care to ensure that the patient is taken care of at the right level of care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant, you play an important role in the close care of the patient. You will have a varied job that gives you broad experience of all tasks occurring in a care department. Together with the team, you will participate in risk assessments and attend our daily briefings with doctors and paramedical professionals.

When you work in a rotation service (both day and night shifts), you will receive a reduction in working hours: a night index of 1.4, which means that one hour at night counts as 1.4 working hours.

We apply annual working time, and you have the opportunity to influence your schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with specialist training in elderly care. You should be interested in caring for elderly patients. Previous experience in similar work is an advantage.

You have good collaboration skills, and we would like you to be curious and open to new working methods.
