JOB DESCRIPTION

Your placement will be in the kitchen at Fredriksberg School, which is a receiving kitchen, where we serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to students in grades F-3, approximately 250 portions daily.

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who has a burning interest in food as well as knowledge and experience in cooking. Your tasks will include preparing meal accompaniments, salads, baking bread, etc. You will be responsible together with colleagues for finances, orders, purchases, and daily production with special diets, quality assurance of food. Invoice handling, self-control, and other tasks in the kitchen and restaurant such as dishwashing and cleaning are also included. You will also organize and improve work methods together with your colleagues in the kitchen team.

You will be involved in developing the operation, ensuring that set goals are met and guidelines followed, and contributing to and working for a good work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a catering education or other training/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

You have previous professional experience as a kitchen assistant. You have good knowledge of catering production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-control, and kitchen economics. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.
